At over 80 years old, Janet is no spring chicken. However, she is young at heart. Janet had grown up in the Associated Church of Christ, a denominational group based in Australia which had come to Ambae nearly 100 years ago. Though this group wears part of the biblical name of the church found in the Bible, their worship and doctrine is far from being close. Janet had been a member of this denominational group for many years, but for the last 5 or more years had been worshipping with the church of Christ in Duviara. Knowing that she needed to remove herself from the denominational group and be joined to Christ and His church she reads about in the Bible, Janet was baptized into Christ on May 10th, 2008.
