A wondrous event happened on this day in Eton village. A young lady named Josephina, who is Eddie Karris’ granddaughter, was baptized into Christ. Eddie had been studying with her for some time as all parents and grandparents should do. She listened as I taught Bible class and preached about the Last Day and judgment that Sunday morning. I talked about the words which men can hear on that day. Jesus will tell some to enter into His rest and He will tell others to depart from him. What stands between a person and hearing the right as opposed to the wrong words on that day is the decision to commit their life to Christ.

The beginning of that decision is in the watery grave of baptism. Allowing God to save you, allowing Him to take away your sin and thus live a new life for Him alone. Teenagers like Josephina can find this decision difficult because of peer or family pressure but in this case the word of God touched her heart and she knew it was time to make the decision. Please pray for Josephina and her new life in Christ. Amen.
