Shawnda and Cindy were inspired by a study of Luke (Jesus often took time out to focus on kids) to renew our team's focus on reaching out to children. They decided to propose the idea of starting a children's Bible club in Port Vila. The ladies of the Vila and (near-by) Etas Village congregations were very excited, and so planning was underway. The ladies met several times to plan and prepare for the club's first meeting, which took place June 27, 2009.

The first meeting was a big success. Neighborhood kids enjoyed crafts, memory work, a puppet show, Bible stories, snacks and games. It was agreed that we would start hosting club meetings the last Saturday of every month for the forseeable future. Please be praying that this ministry will be fruitful for both the children and their parents!
